This sublimation slate makes a perfect way to display pictures or favorite quotes.

Square Sublimation Slate. Made of actual stone with chipped edges. Edges and back are dark charcoal grey. The front has coating suitable for sublimation.  The chips and sublimation coating will vary from piece to piece.  There may be some coating on the chips and that is not a defect and will not be replaced. The slate comes with two black plastic stands to display .

This listing is for (ONE) sublimation slate with two black plastic stands.   These do NOT come with a template for design.  Approximately 5 1/2" x 5 1/2",

Packaged in bubble wrap inside a corrugated cardboard box with writing on it. During shipment the slate may also rip the box. The box is not made for presentation purposes.

Additional supply needed for proper application: heat conductive pad

Time and Temperature (starting point- may need to adjust for your equipment):

The slate needs to be at room temperature before sublimating.

Temperature:  400 degrees F
Time: 5:00 to 5:30 minutes
Pressure: light to medium pressure

This is to only be used as a guidance and not a guarantee- you may need to adjust things to make it work for you- depending on your equipment, ink, paper and environment.

The rough edges of the slate vary in how the sublimation coating is applied.  To add color to the rough edges of the stone increase the bleed edge by 3/4
of an inch and wrap the transfer around the substrate on all 4 sides. Secure
with heat tape.

Recommended Pressing Instructions:

1. lay down a piece of butcher paper or teflon sheet
2. lay the green heat conductive pad on top of the butcher paper/teflon sheet
3. place the sublimation transfer - image face up
4. place the slate face down on the sublimation image
5. place another piece of butcher paper or teflon sheet

Remove the slate from the heat press immediately.   Be careful when removing the substrate and paper- to prevent ghosting.  Also be very careful as the substrate will be very hot.

Helpful Tips:

If the picture is to light- try increasing the time by 15-30 seconds                                    If the picture appears blurred or yellowed try reducing the time slightly 15-30 seconds
If the paper sticks to the surface- try reducing the pressure
